Kappa Delta Pi offers both scholarships and grants for the advancement of education. The Kappa Delta Pi Educational Foundation and local chapters award more than $100,000 annually in scholarships for academic study to active members who are undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree-seeking students. Applications cannot be accepted from nonmembers or inactive members.
Kappa Delta Pi also sponsors the National Student Teacher/Intern of the Year Award Program in conjunction with the Association of Teacher Educators -- An award that several KDP members have won!!! For more information regarding available KDP Scholarships & Grants please visit the main KDP HQ site.
Student Teacher/Intern of the Year Award
This award recognizes a student teacher/intern who has demonstrated during his or her student teaching/intern experience an outstanding ability to:
- Plan and develop a repertoire of classroom management skills and instructional strategies that support the needs and curriculum of all students;
- Establish effective interpersonal relationships with students, parents, faculty, and staff; and
- Reflect about the teaching and learning process.
Classroom Teacher Grants
"Kappa Delta Pi firmly believes that a teacher'seffectiveness has the greatest impact on students' achievement and learning. As part of its efforts to provide members with the tools to be more effective, Kappa Delta Pi offers up to 50 Classroom Teacher Grants to preK-12 private, public, parochial, and home school teachers."
